Avon Tennis would like to invite you to the final Coffee & Chat in this series on THURSDAY 1st MAY at Rocket Padel, 11-12.30pm for a chat then play some free Padel afterwards!
Our guest speakers for the morning are Lara Suarez-Neves and Andrew Nixon. The theme of the morning is 'Help with your Club Comms and Use of Social Media', both Lara & Andrew will offer advice, ideas and quick fixes for us to use and develop within our settings.
Lara Suarez-Neves is a freelance Graphic Designer who specialises in working within the tennis industry. She also works with Berkshire Tennis as their Social Media Lead and their Women & Girls Tennis Lead. She has degrees in Sport Science and in Graphic Design, is a (semi-retired) Level 3 Tennis Coach, and has previously worked for England Squash and Westway Sports Centre. With a thorough and unique understanding of the British Tennis landscape, Lara is passionate in supporting the sport at all levels and does voluntary work with the Tennis Volunteer Community and Pride in Tennis.
Lara understands how much of a challenge it is for volunteers and clubs to brand and market themselves visually in such a digital-based space these days. She will explain simple ways that clubs can do this, as well as take us through how to create a branded social media graphic that can then be posted across several social media platforms. She will then be happy to answer any specific questions about social media marketing, visual branding and working with designers.
Andrew Nixon is Chair of Bristol Central Tennis Club and a founder of the Happy Lane Fund. He has a background in journalism and marketing, and now runs the creative agency Thinkpiece, helping businesses and organisations with strategy, marketing, and communications.
At the meeting Andrew will show how he can help volunteers and committees with writing and communicating with their members which can be a challenge. Andrew will demonstrate how simple, free online AI tools can help you create newsletters, meeting minutes and other messages quickly and easily, improving club communications and saving you a huge amount of time
I will be leading the discussion in my role as Clubs & Venues County Lead. As ever, we will have time for other subjects to be aired and shared, if you have any questions or queries, please contact me directly.
To register for the event please email clubs@avontennis.org.uk .
Look forward to seeing you then.
